The household of the Prince and Princess of Wales decided to use a clip of this short film for their mental health charity.
The name of the writer was changed to ‘Laura’ to preserve anonymity. Two actors portrayed characters based in the world Laura had created.
Laura had hand written her story that spanned her many years in and out of care.
I wanted to tell Laura’s story in three different moments in time and develop this sense of ‘alone’ to ‘together’. Her journey ultimately is about being supported and finding happiness. I ensured that Laura had final sign off from script to post-production. Laura’s story has been well received by the mental health community.
